Dez Bryant, wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys, was arrested on Monday on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge in DeSoto, Texas.

KDFW-TV reported that Bryant was charged with a Class A misdemeanor for assaulting a female family member.

Police confirm that Bryant turned himself in on Monday and then posted bond.

This isn't the first time that Bryant has had problems with law enforcement. This past January, Bryant was held by police in Miami in conjunction with a fight at a Miami night club. Said altercation also involved Lil Wayne. Bryant was never charged.

Back in March of 2011, Bryant received a criminal trespass warning for failing to leave a mall in the Dallas area.

Bryant has also been involved with serious legal problems that involved being sued by a jeweler and ticket broker.

Sad to say, this latest incident is just 1 of many off-field problems the Dallas Cowboys have had with star players.

We'll keep you posted as more details come in.
