As we sit here, its 2017 and the time machine is still an invention driven by fantasy, but Deep Purple, Alice Cooper and the Edgar Winter Group are doing their best to afford rock fans the ability to time travel, uniting three of the '70s most iconic acts for a North American tour!

The mighty Deep Purple will be releasing Infinite, their 20th studio album since getting their start back in 1968 with Shades of Deep Purple, on April 7. The tour in support of this record has been dubbed the 'Long Goodbye,' but the band's members haven't confirmed that this is indeed the last time Purple will hit the road. The North American leg will kick off in Las Vegas on Aug. 12, wrapping up just under one month later in Toronto on Sept. 2.

Fans can scoop up tickets starting Feb. 3 at Live Nation. American Express card members will have the ability to take advantage of a pre-sale that launches on Feb. 1 at 12PM local time with additional pre-sales through Live Nation (via their website, app and Facebook) coming on Feb. 2 at 10AM local time.

Alice is known to be working on new material with some of the original Alice Cooper band members with an aim of returning to the classic sound of the group, more specifically, 1971's timeless Killer record. Welcome 2 My Nightmare, which was released in 2011, was the last album from Cooper.

The Edgar Winter Group, best known for the legendary instrumental track "Frankenstein," last released Rebel Road in 2008.
