The four members of Decapitated were arrested in Santa Ana, Calif. early Saturday morning (Sept. 9) for suspicion of kidnapping a woman. According to the Spokesman-Review, the alleged incident occurred after the band's Aug. 31 concert in Spokane, Wash.

Spokane Police Department spokesperson Cpl. Teresa Fuller said their department received the report by the woman at just before 2AM on Sept. 1. The band had just performed at The Pin concert venue with Thy Art Is Murder.

The group arrived in Santa Ana for a show, but were taken into custody and were awaiting extradition from the Los Angeles County Jail to Spokane. Fuller stated that additional charges against the band are also possible, with Spokane's Special Victims Unit leading the investigation.

The band hired defense attorney Steve Graham of Spokane, and he told the media, "There is another side to this. We have witnesses that can testify to the fact that the accuser came to visit the band of her own free will and left on good terms."

Graham added that the band had offered to surrender after learning of the investigation, but never heard anything back. "I made it clear that I could get the guys up here ASAP and they would cooperate," said Graham, who offered his concern about their being arrested in California and the time it might take before they were returned to Spokane.

The Polish death metal band released their Anticult album earlier this summer and were on tour in support of the disc.
