Rematch! It's the Championship Round of the 2016 Extreme Metal Olympics, and it's the same two bands that faced off in our 2012 edition of the tournament! The contest began with 16 bands divided into two divisions: Headbanger and Devil Horn. After thousands of votes, it's down to Death's Human representing the U.S.A. and Dir En Grey's Dum Spiro Spero representing Japan.

The winner of the Headbanger Region is Death's masterful fourth album, Human. The album has positively steamrolled opponents, claiming decisive victories over Psycroptic's The Scepter of the Ancients (Australia), Opeth's Blackwater Park (Sweden) and, in the last round, Sepultura's Beneath the Remains (Brazil). The gold is in sight with just one more matchup left.

The Devil Horn Region will be represented by Dir En Grey's Dum Spiro Spero. It's been a rather easy tournament for the group, defeating Cradle of Filth's Dusk and Her Embrace (Great Britain), Immortal's Sons of Northern Darkness (Norway), and finally, Gojira's From Mars to Sirius (France) in the Semifinals.

Which album will win the gold medal for the 2016 Extreme Metal Olympics? Vote for either Death's Human or Dir En Grey's Dum Spiro Spero in the poll below and check out a song from each album beneath the poll if you're unfamiliar.

(This poll will end on Monday, Aug. 22, at 9AM ET. Fans are able to vote once per hour, so keep coming back to make sure your favorite song wins!)
