Shay Hill shares one of her favorite recipes with us each week. Each week, I read Shay's recipe, look at the nice photos and think to myself, "I'll make that recipe one of these days.". Well, that day has come.

With the help of my own personal sous chef - my 14-year old son, Nathan - we gathered the necessary ingredients and equipment for chicken parmesan (minus the meat mallet, we substituted a hammer) and hit the kitchen. Here's how it all went down:

It turned out pretty well. Nathan had seconds, Lilah cleaned her plate and I made way too much. Come to find out, Shay's chicken parmesan recipe reheats pretty well, too!

That was fun. I'm looking forward to the next time I'm moved to cook something new.
