A day after Dave Grohl's all-star Sound City Players turned in a marathon thee-hour concert at the Palladium in Hollywood following the Los Angeles premiere of Grohl’s ‘Sound City' movie, the group has announced a one-off performance in New York City. The show goes down Feb. 13 at the Hammerstein Ballroom, and tickets go on sale Tuesday (Feb. 5).

Musicians joining Grohl at the NYC gig include John Fogerty, Rick Springfield, Fleetwood Mac's Stevie NicksRage Against the Machine's Brad Wilk, Cheap Trick's Rick Nielsen and more, with Grohl's current and former Foo Fighters/Nirvana bandmates Pat Smear, Krist Novoselic, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel and Chris Shiflett also slated to perform.

A slew of one-night-only 'Sound City' screenings took place last night in cities across America, Australia and New Zealand, and today, the documentary starts its theatrical run in select markets. The flick is also now available for purchase DRM-free online at SoundCityMovie.com or for on-demand viewing with more than 100 cable and digital operators.

‘Sound City’ tells the story of the historic Van Nuys, Calif., studio of the same name, where Nirvana and many of the other Sound City Players recorded over the years. The accompanying soundtrack, 'Sound City: Reel to Real,' also features many of the same musicians and is due out March 12.
