The Dallas Cowboys kept a key piece to their defense in place by signing linebacker, Rolando McClain to a one-year contract.

The deal is worth $3 million dollars plus $1 million in incentives, according to ESPN Dallas. However, McClain does face a 4 game fine for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.

Even though McClain only played in 13 games in 2014, he was a beast for the Cowboys with 81 tackles (2nd on the team), one sack and two interceptions. He also finished 2nd in voting for the NFL Comeback Player of the Year award, which went to Rob Gronkowski of the New England Patriots.

McClain was originally drafted in 2010 by the Oakland Raiders. After retiring multiple times, and having some off-the-field issues, he eventually landed on the Baltimore Ravens team. In 2014, the Ravens traded him to the Cowboys, who were looking for someone to replace injured linebacker Sean Lee.

With McClain back at middle linebacker spot, Sean Lee will move to the weak-side spot in 2015.
