Dallas Cowboys Run Over St. Louis Rams [PICTURES]

The Dallas Cowboys evened their record with a win over the St. Louis Rams which was, in my opinion, expected for them to do.  What wasn't expected, was a newcomer to break a record held by the NFL's all time leading rusher.  DeMarco Murray broke Emmitt Smith's franchise rushing record, by rushing for 253 yards on 25 carries,  as the Dallas Cowboys cruised to a victory over the Rams 34-7.  Murray was amazing as he racked up a 10.1 yards per carry and had one of those carries go for a 91 yard touchdown.

Where the heck has this running game been?

Felix Jones was nursing a high ankle sprain and, initially, Murray was supposed to share the load with Tashard Choice, but, after the 91 yard TD run, it was apparent who was going to get the bulk of the carries from then on out - and rightfully so.  The former Oklahoma Sooner was not even expected to start as he had missed most of the preseason with a bad hamstring, but he made it for it big time with the 91 yard run, and a 43 yard run that he couldn't even finish because he ran out of gas.

Tony Romo finished the game 14 of 24 for 166 yards and 2 TD's, but with the running game going like it was, they really didn't need the passing game much at all. The defense did their job as well by holding the Rams to 265 yards and only 70 of those yards on the ground as Steven Jackson was held in check all day with exception to one drive.

It was DeMarco Murray, though, that stole the show.

Heck of a run, right? Granted all of this was against the lowly Rams, but his performance does beg the question, "Should DeMarco Murray be starting - even when Felix Jones comes back?"  Comment below to answer that question.
