The Dallas Cowboys have now lost two linebackers that started for them in 2014 as Bruce Carter has signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Just days after LB Justin Durant signed with the Atlanta Falcons, Carter has left Dallas to become a member of the Bucs, signing a 4 year contract worth $20.5 million.

According to ESPN, Carter only played in 32 out of 49 games after being drafted in the second round by the Cowboys in 2011 suffering several injuries in his career. Coming out of North Carolina, Carter had a torn anterior cruciate ligament that kept him out of all but 10 games in 2011. In 2012, he started 11 games before suffering a dislocated elbow. And, in 2014, he only started 8 games and missed three with a quadriceps injury.

Still, when he was healthy, he was definitely a force recording 75 tackles to go with one sack, four tackles for loss, three quarterback pressures and eight pass deflections only 8 games in 2014.

With Carter gone, that leaves the Cowboys with Sean Lee (injured reserve), Anthony Hitchens, Kyle Wilbur,Cam Lawrence and newly signed Keith Rivers as the only linebackers that are signed to contracts.
