The ignorance out there is astounding. Admittedly, some people are playing into the thing as a joke, but some type of widespread killer clown invasion is not happening.

Okay, mush brains, let's go through this again. Creepy clowns are not really a thing. Slender Man was not real. Oh, and "The Purge" is a crappy B-level movie series, not a real holiday. Saying you're afraid of clowns is the new national pastime, and it's almost as ridiculous as those people -- men and women alike -- who bow up like six-graders and say "I'll shoot one if I see one." No, you won't. It's not going to happen and you're full of crap.

I operate four haunted attractions that we put tons of work into. The final haunted house is a 3D attraction full of clowns. I've been polling people when the night was over and overwhelmingly everyone said their favorite part is "the clowns."

There have been clown sightings and even an instance of "menacing," which, in relation to putting on clown makeup, is a real stretch. There have been ZERO instances in recent history of some type of ACTUAL clown misbehavior.

I guess I should be glad that some people are afraid of clowns. It kind of makes me "on-point" when it comes to scaring people, so let me leave you with a little insight.  It takes a lot of guts to put on that makeup every night and if you really do spot a clown, it would be best that you do turn and run away. That, and if there is a clown in front of you, there's likely several behind you. Don't turn around...
