The Cranberries have announced that they will be releasing a final album with late frontwoman Dolores O'Riordan on vocals before breaking up. Speaking with The Guardian, guitarist Noel Hogan said, "Dolores had an awful lot going on and she was on a roll of being able to write. Lyrically, the new album is very strong."

He continued, “She always said she found it hard to write songs when she was happy. She always said, put a bit of misery in her life and it was easier. We will do this album and then that will be it. There is no need to continue."

O’Riordan served as the Cranberries' vocalist from 1990 until their initial breakup in 2003. She reunited with the band in 2009, and was with them until her death, earlier this year. She died just hours before she was scheduled to record guest vocals on Bad Wolves' cover of the Cranberries' "Zombie." Bad Wolves donated $250,000 of proceeds from their version of "Zombie" to O’Riordan's family.

It was revealed earlier this month that she died by "drowning due to alcohol intoxication," according to a report from the BBC. She was allegedly found fully submerged in the bath of her room at London's Park Lane Hilton hotel. The coroner deemed her death as a "tragic accident."
