Oh Courtney Love, how you never cease to entertain us. Hole hit the stage of the SWU festival in Sao Paulo, Brazil, over the weekend — and the widow of the late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain used the high-profile gig as an opportunity to cause quite a scene. At one point during the show, she stripped off her top while performing and flashed the crowd, then later stormed offstage when a fan held up a picture of Cobain, dissing Foo Fighters frontman / former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl in the process.

Things got started with the peep show. Wearing a handmade “Courtney Be My Bitch” T-shirt over a slinky tube top, she gradually removed her items of clothing, eventually peeling off the tube to expose her breasts to the audience. Check out some tastefully edited (if there is such a thing) pics from the strip tease here.

With that out of the way, Love moved on with the concert, only to stop it dead in its tracks when a fan in the crowd held up a picture of Cobain. “I don’t need to see a picture of Kurt, a–hole, and I’m gonna have you f—ing removed if you keep holding it up,” she announced from the stage. “I’m not Kurt. I have to live with his f—ing s—, and his ghost, and his kid, every day.”

Ouch! Even though she doesn’t actually live with “his kid” anymore — Frances Bean Cobain was granted legal emancipation from her mom at age 17 and recently bought herself a home in Los Angeles — it still is a bit of a rude thing for her to say about her own daughter, don’t you think?

Then Love inexplicably started dissing Grohl and his band, the Foo Fighters: “Go see the Foo Fighters and do that s— [there]. Great, we’ll leave now. F— you!”

With that, Courtney stormed offstage. Someone from her entourage tried to start a crowd chant of “The Foo Fighters are gay” — it didn’t go so well, either because the audience wasn’t up for the chant or because it got lost in translation — and  Courtney eventually came back, eager to dispense more verbal assaults about Grohl.

“I don’t care what you listen to at home,” she told the crowd, “but if a guy takes off money off my kid’s table, f— him.”

Your kid’s table? You mean the one you “have to” live with — but don’t actually live with? Either way, we’re pretty certain Grohl has just as much claim to the Nirvana fortune as Love does. He was, after all, actually in the band.
