Courtney Love has several irons in the fire and each of them is progressing with varying results. In a new interview with Paper, Love provides an update on two of her projects — her upcoming memoir and the potential reunion of the classic lineup of Hole.

Speaking about her book, Love reveals that she’s had trouble finishing the page-turner. “It’s a disaster,” said Love. “A nightmare. I never wanted to write a book in my entire life. It just sort of happened. And I have a co-writer, but it’s just not working.”

Love also revealed that there is one caveat to the book, explaining, “One of my rules about the book is that it has to stop in 2006. What happens from 2006 on in the book is my personal business. I’ve been discreet from that time on and I want to keep it that way.”

‘The Girl With the Most Cake’ was expected to initially hit shelves in December 2013, but has been delayed while Love and her co-writer attempt to finish the effort.

Meanwhile, though Love seemingly put the kibosh on a reunion of the classic Hole lineup in a recent interview, there appears to be a glimmer of hope. According to the Paper interview, Love is still optimistic that the lineup of herself with Eric Erlandson, Melissa Auf Der Maur and Patty Schemel will play in 2015.

She adds, “It’s more important for me to act right now than to play rock ‘n’ roll, [but] me and Melissa and Patty and Eric have rehearsed a few times. In order to pull that [reunion] off, we’d have to make some music that’s relevant to now and we’d have to get a modern producer. I’m not going to do the oldies circuit.”

Regardless of whether the reunion turns into anything other that some studio jamming, Love says that one positive is reviving the friendships with her old bandmates. “My relationships with Melissa, Patty and Eric are all great,” says Love. “At this point in my life, no one is my enemy. Any grudges or issues with the past? I’m done with it.”
