When you think of West Texas, football should be the first thing that comes to mind. Nothing is bigger than football, not even the belt buckle or mullet.

In every crowd of football fans is an 'expert'. You know that person. The one who can't stop talking about he or she has picked the winners each week or how they should be the coach. Well, we decided to gather a few of these 'experts' for a weekly pick'em challenge.

Mike Skow, of KTXS, seems to have been sand-baggin' a bit. He started a little slow but has come on with some serious heat the past few weeks. He and I both had perfect scores this past week as we went 10-0. The boss lady is creeping back into the hunt with her 8-2 record and the Preach fell off his perch as he went 7-3.

Rose shocked the world again when he showed up. Known to be many things but cordial, Axl Rose showed a side to himself that many never knew existed as he joked about his punctuality (or lack thereof), his corn rows, and even his job as a manager of a video store when Guns N' Roses were first performing.

This year, we decided to make the 10th Annual Jingle Bell Jam the most diverse show anyone in Abilene could want or have ever seen...and I believe we accomplished that task.

Yes there have been bigger shows but never has there been lineup that I've been more excited about. We're covering every end of the live rock spectrum with the Jingle Bell Jam that will take place Friday, December 14th at the Lucky Mule Saloon.

Opening the show will be Far From Nothing followed by The Transporters then Jesus Gun Club. The band that will close out the night for us is the multi award winning Josh Weathers Band.
