WWE ‘SmackDown’ Live Recap – [4/10/12]

As opposed to the normal pretape-on-Tuesday to air-on-Friday deal, this week’s ‘SmackDown’ ran live on Tuesday night, presumably as a way to clear the deck and rearrange everyone’s travel schedule for WWE’s impending European tour.

‘Anomaly: Warzone Earth’ Game Review

By now most everyone is sick of Tower Defense games. They seem the go-to genre for smaller developers and we’ve been inundated with subpar entries, perhaps because it’s easy to think of a new gimmick or theme for them and slap right on. In my mind nothing much has bested Desktop Tower Defense, the original browser game which almost single-handedly kicked off the popularity of the style, although there have been a few notable exceptions like Plants Vs. Zombies and Pixeljunk Monsters.

‘Ridge Racer Unbounded’ Game Review

Get past the silly name and you’ll find out that Ridge Racer Unbounded is one of the best of the series. While it doesn’t feature open world gameplay like the title infers, if you prefer arcade-style racers (as I do) you’ll definitely enjoy this game, which features an amount of destruction far beyond previous installments.

‘Star Wars’ For Kinect Game Review

We’re not sure whether the developers of ‘Kinect Star Wars’ actively hate George Lucas’s brainchild and sought to mock it mercilessly, or just don’t understand the appeal of lightsabers and Jedi knights and just threw something together in a crude attempt at sympathizing with the franchise’s fanatics. Whatever the case, ‘Kinect Star Wars’ is the most laughable addition to the family since the 1978 ‘Star Wars Holiday Special.’

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 Game Review

If you’re going to re-release what, at its core, is basically the same game every year and expect fans to keep forking over their $60 again and again, you’d better add something worthwhile.

P.O.D., ‘Lost in Forever’ – Song Review

A decade ago, P.O.D. ruled radio, doling out hit after hit from 2001′s massive album, ‘Satellite.’ The band’s seamless blend of smart rock and rap was wrapped in melody. We’re glad to report the band still has those irresistible melodic chops on ‘Lost in Forever,’ their latest single which will appear on their Razor and Tie debut. While the band has shifted labels and lost (and regained) guitarist Marcos Curiel over the years, their musical foundation remains strong and the same.

Red Hot Chili Peppers, ‘Look Around’ – Song Review

‘Look Around’ by the Red Hot Chili Peppers is starting to make its way around radio after having been released as a digital single back in January. The song is the third single from 2011′s ‘I’m With You,’ following ‘Monarchy of Roses’ and ‘The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie.’

Favorite Childhood Candy – What’s Yours?

I am proud to say I work with the greatest sweets fairy on the planet. Her name is Vicki and not only does she keep a lot of candy in her office, but she stocks a wide variety. Well, the other day I was rummaging through her bowl of candy and came across Sixlets. We both talk about how we haven't seen Sixlets in years.
