Following a win in the state of Ohio, Barack Obama is being projected as the winner of the 2012 presidential race. To celebrate, Obama tweeted the above photo of himself embracing Michelle with the words, "Four more years."
It's arguably the most American day of the year (sorry, Fourth of July), as those with the rights given to them as American citizens are heading out to the polls today to cast their votes on both candidates and bills that will affect their immediate future.
Voting in a presidential election is pretty exciting. And, these days, when we do something exciting we want to tell the world about it through social network sites like Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
But while there may be a temptation to take a photo of your completed ballot and post it on the internet with pride, it's not a very good idea. In fact in states like Wisconsin it's a felony to let anybody else see your ballot or a photo of your ballot.
Aaaaaaand the drama begins. This video footage was taken by a man trying to cast a vote for Barack Obama in Pennsylvania (an important swing state). We say "trying" because the machine doesn't make it particularly possible to actually vote for Obama -- every time the man tries, his vote is cast for Romney.

The first results of this year’s presidential election have just been released and it seems that the candidates are tied.
Well, it's finally Election Day here in the old Land of the Free, and what better way to give yourself a pat on the back for getting out there and casting your all-important vote than with some free stuff, right?
Four years ago, during the last presidential campaign, the American economy was collapsing faster than it had since the Great Depression. Now, with the 2012 election upon us, most analysts agree that the economy is in a period of slow recovery—a bit too slow, according to just about everyone.

Today is Election Day. I'm not gonna tell you who to vote for, all I'm going to do is request that your choice isn't based on a forwarded email or Facebook post.

I have to admit, I wasn't very interested in History when I was in school. In my more mature years though, I wish I had paid more attention. There is so much that I'm not really knowledgeable about, like the electoral vs. popular votes.
With the presidential election less than a week away, candidates are bombarding us from all angles with ads, debates and last-minute pushes to secure votes. (Their efforts are pretty much pointless considering we joined The Pizza Party a while back, but that's besides the point.)
In all seriousness, all this presidential hoopla can be a little overwhelming and upsetting at times. This is especially true if you're a politically-aware four-year-old.
