It’s Time For A New Group To Step Up And Exercise Their Right To Vote

Let's start by throwing away some labels here. Liberal, conservative, mean whatever. They are little compartments that politicians and the media like to throw people into.  I don't believe anyone truly belongs 100% to either group.  It is time we get back to voting for candidates based on the issues and not based on what party they belong to.  When you vote straight up party without looking into the issues, you're just feeding a machine that was built to work for somebody else.

You Will Never Be Rich As Long As The Rich Have Anything To Do With It

USA Today is reporting that we are near the tipping point where the top 1% of all of the rich people are richer than the rest of us combined.  This is not an economic system that's good for anyone, other than that 1%.  It also means it's even harder for the poorest of the poor.

All Things Are Judged By Their Best And Worst Examples

I had the thought behind the title, "All Things Are Judged By Their Best And Worst Examples" and I just couldn't let it go.  When I first had the thought I was thinking about government programs, which will probably be the examples I'll use later, but it's true with about everything and a good thing to keep in mind.

‘Star Wars’ #1 Advance Review: Jason Aaron & John Cassaday Offer A New Hope For Lapsed Fans

Star Wars and Marvel Comics have a long history. A Marvel adaptation of the original sci-fi-fantasy film appeared in April 1977, a month before A New Hope dominated multiplexes in May of the same year. The success of the film as well as the comics led to a volume of over 100 issues over a nine-year span, featuring stories about what happened to the heroes of the Rebellion between their big screen adventures.

Following Marvel parent Disney's acquisition of Lucasfilm, this week sees the return of the Star Wars Universe to the Marvel banner, with a new ongoing series from Jason Aaron and John Cassaday launching on Wednesday. It's a strong debut from an A-list creative team who manages to capture the feel of George Lucas's film A New Hope while still taking advantage of the entirety of the Saga.

Five Songs That Meant Metal To Me

Of course I like metal; I just grew up with a different version of it than you. Back in the day, metal bands were always trying to stay metal, while still trying to write that "radio hit" that would endear them to the masses. Somewhere along the line it became a "more metal than your metal" contest and that's why the scene is a mess with people all over the place.

Anyway, I have another playlist for you of five VERY catchy and VERY hard metal tunes that defined metal to me.

It’s Time For All Police To Have Body Cameras

We have the technology, we've seen problems all over and it's time to make this happen. First off, I'm not a cop hater. My favorite uncle taught firearms for L.A. County for decades (because of this, he also taught all the classic Hollywood actors how to shoot). So, in short, I have no problem with police.
