It's been over a decade since the tragic events of 9/11, but the memories of that day will always be fresh in my mind. One thing that helped the healing process begin, was music. Whether they were tribute songs played on the radio, or songs that I threw in my CD player, these are the songs I remember from that time that helped the healing process.
The first "Run to Remember" in Abilene is Sept. 6th. What makes this run special from all other 5k or 10k's is that it's a 9.11 kilometer run or just over five and a half miles. The run/walk will pause and pay tribute to the victims of September 11, 2001. This fundraiser benefits Jim Ned Volunteer Fire Department and the Air Force Sergeants Association Big Country Chapter 1056. This run is hosted by the Abilene Runners Club.

But, exactly how loud is that train horn? After some extensive research (I asked a train dude), I have the answer for you.
