Whether to be funny or to protect their heterosexuality, some people feel the need to say "no homo" after expressing their love for someone.  It's become kind of an online thing. This is not only insulting; it's a complete and total cop-out.

Guess what? I don't care if you think I'm gay. I don't think there's anything wrong with it, so therefore it is not an insult to me. I also think anyone who would try to use that as an insult is a pretty crappy human being, so their option means nothing to me either.

I always go back to my story about bikers who always hug each other. Do you think they feel the need to say "no homo" afterward? No, because they don't give a sh!t.

If you love someone, you should tell them. That is important, crucial information. It is good for all the people involved and it is good for the world.

If you feel like you have to type two words after "I love you man," then let's go with "for real."

Don't forget that there will be a day when you see or talk to that person for the last time. Do you want "no homo" to be the last words they heard from you, or do you want them to remember you saying "I love you, man"?
