Body Count Frontman Ice-T’s Grandson Arrested in Accidental Fatal Shooting of Roommate
Body Count vocalist Ice-T's 19-year-old grandson Elyjah Marrow has been charged with involuntary manslaughter for accidentally fatally shooting his roommate Daryus Johnson, also 19, in Marietta, Ga. The incident happened on Tuesday, June 24, when Marrow was apparently "recklessly handling" a gun, reports the Marietta Daily Journal.
“Marrow was not using proper firearms safety when handling the gun,” said police office David Baldwin. “That reckless handling of the firearm is what led to Johnson being accidentally shot and eventually killed.”
As TMZ reports, Marrow was seen on the reality TV series 'Ice Loves Coco,' which starred Ice-T and his wife. In addition to being charged with involuntary manslaughter, Marrow faces charges of possession of a firearm while committing a felony, as well as reckless conduct, possession of a stolen firearm and intent to distribute marijuana. He is currently being detained in jail without bond.
