Fans of Black Veil Brides will have to wait a little longer for the band’s new disc as the release date was recently pushed back from late October to January 2013, but new photos from the studio show a hint of some of the “big things” that might be in the works including a guest appearance on vocals.

A new photo posted on the Black Veil Brides Facebook page and displayed here shows Bert McCracken from The Used paying a visit on Friday (Aug. 31) with the caption: “It’s a good Friday in the studio! Our good pal Bert McCracken from The Used is throwing down some awesomeness on our album!!!”

No further details have been revealed about the level of McCracken’s involvement or how many tracks he’ll guest on but it seems like his voice will be heard somewhere on the new disc.

Although the recording process has been a long one, frontman Andy Biersack has kept fans in the loop through his Twitter account posting updates from the studio. His most recent comments point to a promising record, saying, “F— I love this record,” and “What we’ve done on this album makes me feel so proud.”

The sound of the new disc is a constant evolution for Black Veil Brides with the band always striving to “grow and get bigger.” Back in June, Biersack described it as”Social Distortion meets Metallica.”

Black Veil Brides released their last disc ‘Set the World on Fire’ in June of 2011.
