Bee Gees’ Robin Gibb Dead: Rockers React on Twitter

Robin Gibb died at the age of 62 after a long battle with cancer, according to a statement released by his spokesperson. Gibb was one third of the trio of brothers who make up the Bee Gees.

“The family of Robin Gibb, of the Bee Gees, announce with great sadness that Robin passed away today following his long battle with cancer and intestinal surgery,” the statement says. “The family have asked that their privacy is respected at this very difficult time.”

As the music world mourns his death, several artists — including Silversun Pickups, A Fine Frenzy and KT Tunstall — have taken to Twitter to remember the singer.
