Battlefield 4’s Battlelog Gets a Revamp
Interested in how you can keep track of everything in Battlefield 4 while you’re away from your console? Don’t worry, because the Battlelog’s got your back.
A post on the Battlefield Blog details some of the changes that the team at EA have made to the Battlelog, the tool that Battlefield players can use to track stats, progression and leaderboards. One of the big things for the team was to integrate the Battlelog experience within Battlefield 4. This is accomplished with a widget that will be located in the top-right corner of your screen. In this area, you’ll be able to spot how many of your buddies are currently playing the game, receive notifications for events and check out what active Missions are available for you.
They’ve also made it so that your Battlelog experience will be the same, no matter what device you’re using. The Battlelog on the web will look and feel the same if accessed through a tablet, a phone or even in-game. To help you stand out from the crowd, Emblems can now be created through the Battlelog to let you showcase your own individual style.
The Battlelog is looking like a very comprehensive Battlefield experience, especially now that it will allow you to view your stats, customize your Loadout, check out the forums, keep up-to-date with Battlefield news and even contact your friends. A new feature they’ve added is called the Unified Game Manager. According to the blog, this will “show up on Battlelog as you start playing on PC or console, and will offer you quick access to our game-connected features: Real-time Loadout, Remote Joining and BattleScreen.”
The Battlelog service is certainly looking like it’s going to be a beefy companion for Battlefield 4. Look forward to utilizing it when Battlefield 4 is released on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on Oct. 29. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will launch with the consoles.
