The melodic death/thrash hounds in Michigan’s Battlecross have just released the video for ‘Never Coming Back’ off of their upcoming album ‘War of Will.’ Rather than going the route of the abandoned warehouse that many an extreme band have used as a backdrop, Battlecross stripped everything down and jam out in nothing but white walls and a floor.

In the clip, the quintent give it all they have, displaying their high-energy enthusiasm that is only a taste of what they deliver live. Luckily, Loudwire was at the Mayhem Fest 2013 kickoff, so you can check out some images of the band punishing the crowd with their extreme melodic brand.

If you recognize the man behind the kit, it should come as no surprise. World-renowned drummer Kevin Talley (ex-Six Feet Under, ex-Chimaira, ex-Dying Fetus, and more) manned the sticks with Battlecross at Metallica’s Orion Music and More Festival and will continue to serve as the band’s rhythmic backbone as they trek across the United States on the Mayhem Fest tour.

‘War of Will’ can be streamed in its entirety starting on July 5 until the weekend is over. The album is a shredfest and Battlecross encourage you to shred too! If you pre-order ‘War of Will’ through Metal Blade, Benchmark, or IndieGoGo you will be entered not once, but twice in a contest to win an ESP LTD MH-350NT guitar! The band have made it easy for you, so all you have to do is head to their Facebook page for details.
