Joe Bachman Helps Us Better Understand PTSD Through “A Soldier’s Memoir (the PTSD Song)”

I know that Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) has taken several of my family members from the way I used to know them. When my family and friends returned from the current conflicts in the middle east they came back different and I really didn't understand what PTSD was or how it affected them. Country newcomer Joe Bachman's new song "A Soldiers Memoir (the PTSD Song)" has opened my eyes to better understanding. I'm going to warn you though, it's a tear-jerker.

Uncle Kracker’s New Video “Blue Skies” Will Put a Smile on Your Face

I just received Uncle Kracker's video for his newest song "Blue Skies", in it Kracker has to rely on family to get this video made because his crew got drunk. After a quick phone call, Uncle Kracker is set to make his music video with help from his cousin. As I watched it, I couldn't help but smile all the way through it (I think you'll smile too). At the risk of sounding like an old softy, I'll go ahead and say it, 'This video is too cute!' Check it out and then tell me if you like it as much as I do.

Abilene Lions Clubs Offer a Holiday Flag Service

Independence Day is Thursday this year, and it's time to take a good look at Old Glory to make sure she's fit to fly. I just can't remember all the different holidays in which it's okay to fly the flag. I know there's the 4th of July, Veterans Day, Memorial Day and Flag Day. One time I forgot to take it down my flag at night, then there's the unexpected storms, is it too faded or tattered. There's so much to remember right? The Abilene Area Lions Clubs to the rescue

Hurricane Strength Winds Hit Abilene Leaving a Trail Of Destruction [PICTURES]

I knew the minute the NOAA weather guys said that these storms are capable of producing winds up to 70 miles an hour that Abilene and the Big Country would be seeing some serious damage. When the storm was over I went out to see what was the banging the side of my house when I noticed, trees were up-rooted and had broken branches I also saw shingles spread out all over my yard. I looked around to see which neighbor lost their roof, only to discover those shingles were off of my house.
