Texas Tech Researchers Discover Antibiotics in Store Bought Shrimp [VIDEO]
Researchers at Texas Tech University found evidence of contamination after they tested some samples of farm-raised shrimp that came from abroad. Within the testing, the researchers discovered evidence of antibiotics and one of those antibiotics is a suspected dangerous human carcinogen. The shrimp was purchased from grocery store right here in the good ole USA.

Texas is Tops in Wind Energy at the 2012 Wind Power Summit
Texas’ power, strength and leadership will be the top item of discussion during the 2012 WINDPOWER Summit that will be held this year by the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) in Atlanta Georgia from June 3rd through June 6th. Over 90 Texas based wind energy companies will exhibit their wares and show off their expertise during this year’s event. The Dr. Seuss Festival is Coming to Abilene
The Cultiral Affairs Council is putting on the Children’s Art and Literacy Festival (CALF) or as many are calling it the Dr. Suess Festival. It all kicks off during Art Walk on Thursday, June 14th and continues through Sunday, June 17th, 2012. Downtown Abilene will be transformed into the imaginative world of Dr. Seuss. View all his work at the National Center for Children’s Illustrated Literature (NCCIL) and at The Center for Contemporary Arts. Children will enjoy dramatic presentations from eight different Dr. Seuss books throughout the four day event. Meet the Dr. Suess characters, see the movies and take in the art works of Theodor Seuss Geisel (Dr. Seuss) while visiting some of our historic landmark locations in downtown Abilene.
