‘The Hangover 3′ is happening. Though ‘The Hangover, Part II’ was basically a remake of the original film and mostly disappointed critics, the sequel made a ton of money (it was the fourth highest grossing film of 2011) and WB and director Todd Phillips have been quietly planning the third and final installment. And, as it turns out, ‘The Hangover 3′ may be happening sooner than you thought.
‘Jackass 3D’ was (another) huge hit in the franchise, so ‘Jackass 4′ always seemed like something of an inevitability. But part of the fun of ‘Jackass 3D’ was watching the stunts catch up on the aging cast and there was some speculation, they’re retire after completing the trilogy. Not quite. ‘Jackass 4′ looks like it could be on the way after all…
In an attempt to breathe new life into the ‘Scream‘ franchise, Dimension Films released a fourth installment – ‘Scream 4′ in theaters last spring. It didn’t work. ‘Scream 4′ performed poorly at the box-office and wasn’t a hit with audiences or critics. But that’s not the end of the ghost face killer!
Like a horror movie villain, the ‘Scream’ franchise was left for dead but is suddenly up and alive again. It turns out MTV is adapting ‘Scream’ into a TV series…
As you might imagine, it didn’t take long for Warner Bros. executives to start talking with Christopher Nolan about a follow up to ‘The Dark Knight’ – the film was a massive critical and commercial success. But would you believe they already whispering their plans for ‘The Dark Knight Rises‘ to Nolan and his creative team at the ‘Dark Knight’ premiere? And they even had an idea for who they wanted to play the villain…
If you were one of the people who saw ‘The Dictator’ in theaters this weekend, you’ve already seen the brand new teaser trailer for ‘Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.’ But considering ‘The Dictator’ didn’t exactly light up the box-office, you’re probably one of the millions who has yet to see the ‘Anchorman 2′ trailer. Well, good news, it’s officially online now for your viewing enjoyment!
It’s not a bold statement to assert that most video games based on movies are pretty awful. They almost always suck. But it was still surprising to see that one of the biggest movies of the year (and one of the biggest movies of all-time), ‘The Avengers,’ didn’t have its own video game.
The truth is, ‘The Avengers‘ did have its own video game, you’ll just never get to play it. We look back at ‘The Avengers: The Video Game’ – the first-person, co-op game that was scrapped by Marvel and developer THQ in 2011.
