Testament’s Alex Skolnick Has No Plans To Return to Trans-Siberian Orchestra

Testament‘s Alex Skolnick is one of the most beloved and admired guitarists in the world. Along with fellow band member Eric Peterson, the duo have unleashed some of the most ear-gasmic guitar hooks and solos in metal history. As well as being a thrash shredder, Skolnick dabbles in jazz with the Alex Skolnick Trio and has toured with the iconic rock opera outfit Trans-Siberian Orchestra. However, during our recent interview with Skolnick, he revealed that he has no plans to ever return to the Orchestra.

Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine Claims President Obama Staged Recent Shooting Massacres

Surprise, surprise! Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine has said something ridiculous yet again! His latest rant, however, may be the Mustaine’s most bizarre claim to date. During Megadeth’s Aug. 7 performance at Fort Canning in Singapore, Mustaine took some shots at Barack Obama, claiming that the President was “staging” various massacres on American soil to gain support in the passing of stricter gun control laws.

Baroness Involved in Serious Bus Crash in England

Progressive metal / rock heavyweights Baroness were involved in a serious accident earlier this morning (Aug. 15) in England, as the band’s tour bus reportedly plummeted for 30 feet over a viaduct. Several people were inside the bus when the accident took place, with two of them having to be rescued by firefighters after the passengers were trapped inside the bus. Two of the passengers apparently suffered serious injuries, with reports suggesting that band members suffered broken bones. Another seven people were treated for minor injuries.

Primus’ Les Claypool Thanks Fans For Bidding on Bass Auction Benefiting Ailing Nephew

A couple of days ago, it was announced that Primus bassist/singer Les Claypool would be auctioning off a rare prototype of his Pachyderm bass to benefit his two-year-old nephew, Matthew. Claypool’s nephew is suffering from a rare form of infant leukemia and is undergoing bone marrow treatment. With the medical costs rising, Claypool is putting his bass up for auction on eBay to help pay for Matthew’s treatment.
