I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as quick as I could. I'm originally from Battle Creek, Michigan (home of Tony the Tiger). I've got two kids who take up most of my time out of the office, but when I get "me time", I'm either taking in some live music or a sporting event. Since relocating, I also fell in love with the Texas music scene. I've been lucky enough to be nominated for DJ of the Year 4 straight years by the Academy of Texas Music, and was the 2009 recipient of the Academy's Palmwood Award. I'm a huge sports fan, and my loyalties are with the Michigan Wolverines, Chicago White Sox and (sorry) the Pittsburgh Steelers.

A Guy’s Guide to Simple Romantic Gestures
Being romantic isn't my strong suit, I've been told. It's not from a lack of effort, and it's not because my heart's not in it. We all have our shortcomings. Donald Trump can’t comb his hair. Roger Clemens can’t admit he did steroids. Tony Romo can’t win big games. And I'm not very good at being romantic. I'm pretty sure there are plenty of guys who are in the same boat. Maybe we just don't feel comfortable performing romantic acts. Or we struggle to come up with "the perfect romantic gesture". Or maybe there's a fear of being laughed at. Whatever the excuse, we need to put forth the effort, guys. So I've decided to come up with a list of simple, romantic gestures that can help romantically challenged men gain a little confidence in their ability to be romantic.

Tiger Wins Again. Is the ‘Old’ Tiger Woods Back?
Tiger Woods used to be the most dominating player in the world of golf; some say the history of golf. Then, as you know, he had a major fall from grace and went 2 1/2 years without a win. With his recent wins, do you think Tiger Woods is back to the prime form he was in before the scandal?
For Father’s Day: Dave Shares His Favorite “Dad-isms”
Father's Day is on the way, and I could think of no better way to honor dads than by letting them know we've been listening to them all these years. Especially when it comes to "dad-isms".
Abilene Native Ryan Turner Named Police Officer of the Year in Irving
Police officers are heroes. What they do on a daily basis – risking their lives to make us all safer – is all too often taken for granted. I love it when I hear a positive story to share about a police officer who is great at his job. It’s even better when it can be celebrated locally.
