While the full schedule for the festival won’t be released until Aug. 21, we can tell you that the premiere will be a part of the Festival’s annual Midnight Madness.
In the wake of his release from prison in Prague, Randy Blythe and Lamb of God have announced that they will be playing Knotfest, the two-date metal and hard rock festival headlined and organized by Slipknot. Playing both dates (Aug. 17 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Aug. 18 in Somerset, Wis.), these will be Lamb of God’s first live performances since Blythe’s imprisonment.
Congratulations are in order for Korn bassist Reginald Arvizu — better known to fans as Fieldy — as he and his wife Dena are expecting the birth of their second child this month. According to Korn’s website, “things are happening a little sooner than planned” with the baby, so Fieldy has decided to drop out of some tour dates in Europe.
Fear Factory have always been a force to be reckoned with in the world of industrial rock. Like most long-lasting bands, they have faced several obstacles throughout their tenure in the rock world. One obstacle that threatened to be the demise of the band was when it was announced that they would be returning from their break-up in 2002 without founding member and guitarist Dino Cazares. Overcoming that obstacle, though, it didn’t take long for Cazares to return to the lineup with lead singer Burton Bell and release 2010′s ‘Mechanize.’
It was just a few months ago that Red Line Chemistry released their latest song ‘Unspoken,’ the first single off of their upcoming album. Before hitting the studio to record the rest of the record, Red Line Chemistry decided to hit the road and on July 12, kicked off a brief, country-wide summer tour.
“It’s like at the end of the day P-Roach is still here killin’ it, years later, and we are still swingin’, we are still killin’ it,” Papa Roach singer Jacoby Shaddix says of his band’s latest single, ‘Still Swingin.’ We couldn’t agree more.

The one and only Zakk Wylde made a trip to New York City to participate in SiriusXM’s Celebrity Fantasy Football Draft on July 19. Amidst the likes of comedian Artie Lange and Playboy Playmate Pilar Lastra, Wylde stood out in the crowd wearing his Black Label Society denim vest and sporting his signature beard. He was all smiles, though, as he couldn’t help but crack jokes with fans and the press.
In an exclusive interview with Loudwire, Hellyeah drummer Vinnie Paul talked about the legal situation Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe is currently in overseas in the Czech Republic. The legendary Pantera stickman knows all-too-well the dangers of fans jumping on-stage at live shows. DevilDriver singer Dez Fafara took to Twitter yesterday (July 12) to send his love to his sister Kerri, who has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
