Assassin's Creed Unity will be exclusive to next-gen consoles, Microsoft announced at their E3 presentation today. They also demonstrated a gameplay demonstration, including four-player co-op.

As many already suspected, the next entry in the Assassin's Creed series will appear only on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. After the announcement, Ubisoft Montreal producer Vincent Pontbriand took the stage to give us our first look at the game in action, with four assassins hunting a single target during the French Revolution, the game's setting.

The brief look we got indicates that one of the themes of the game will be the wealthy vs. the common people; a theme as relevant now as it was in 1789.

We're sure to see more info on Assassin's Creed: Unity when Ubisoft's press conference kicks off later today.
