It looks like the Templar will be getting taking a lot of revenge out on the Order of Assassins in Assassin's Creed Rogue.

According to Polygon, Assassin's Creed Rogue will put you in the boots of a Templar so that the good-willed Assassins Order will be on the other side of the Hidden Blade for once. Whether it's Arno, Altair, Ezio, Connor or Edward, each of the protagonists throughout the Assassin's Creed series have always fought the good fight. This marks the first time we will ever play as a Templar for the whole game. Templars are notorious and have access to near unlimited wealth, as seen by Shay's capable ship which will easily traverse the frozen waters of the Arctic.

"In previous games you were performing all the assassinations," said Assassin's Creed Rogue's game director, Martin Capel. "Now we've developed characters that can assassinate you."

Shay Patrick Cormac will try to unseat the French Assassins (descendants of Arno in Assassin's Creed Unity) from power, making way for the British-controlled era of Haytham Kenway and his cohorts in the beginning of Assassin's Creed III. Haytham is actually one of Cormac's companions throughout Rogue.

"If you want pure combat, you can do that," Capel said. "You can use sleep grenades or berzerk grenades on animals and citizens. This is the templar's way. You're not following the creed any more, so you don't get this message when you kill civilians saying 'Your ancestors didn't kill civilians.' You can do it. The templar approach is very much the ends justify the means."

Remember how your Assassin character would always go to a pigeon coop to find a new contract? Cormac will be able to do the same thing, but you will have to find the Assassin's target and protect them. This means that you will be fighting full-fledged Assassins, and they are tough hombres.

"The assassins are really strong in combat; they'll use smoke, they'll use pistols, they'll shoot at powder kegs in the environment, they'll try to hide and, if they hit you, they do a lot of damage. They're the toughest of the characters you'll face."

Assassin's Creed Rogue launches on Nov. 11 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

You know the Templar and the Assassin Orders both know how to get rid of a body, so does 5x5.
