The dramatic music of Bat for Lashes can be heard in the trailer for the ‘Assassin’s Creed 3,’ an adventure video game set in New Orleans in 1768.

The entire trailer is seen through a handheld Sony PS Vita, one of the platforms on which the game can be played. The setting is the Louisiana Rebellion, a real historic event in which settlers attempted to stop the agreed-upon transfer of Louisiana from France to Spain.

The trailer begins with the soothing tones of Bat for Lashes’ ‘Glass’ as soldiers with rifles and knives drawn engage in a standoff. The fighting commences just as the song explodes with loud drums powering the chorus.

Settlers are shown riding horse carriages, racing through swamps and jumping from rooftop to rooftop in the quaint city. The game is scheduled for an October 2012 release.

‘Glass’ was the opening track on ‘Two Suns,’ a 2009 album from Bat for Lashes, the London singer born Natasha Khan. Though ‘Two Suns’ earned Khan a Mercury Prize nomination and widespread acclaim, she has yet to release a follow-up.
