You may have caught Scott Ian's 'Speaking Words' in Europe last summer, and if you're in the U.S., you may be catching the Anthrax guitarist's 2014 North American tour dates. However, if you won't be seeing Ian tell his tale in person, you might be able to grab an official DVD release. For a bit of help to finance a DVD release, Ian has set up a direct-to-fan campaign.

Direct-to-fan projects are beginning to change the music industry as we know it, and for the next 57 days, Scott Ian's Pledge Music campaign will be open for donations. No labels needed, the fans will pay for the DVD release themselves, of course getting some extra goodies for their contributions as well.

Scott Ian is offering some sweet incentives to thank fans for donating, from access to an HD stream of the Glasgow 'Speaking Words' for just $10 to an insane 'Vegas Adventure + World Series of Poker' experience for a fan wishing to cough up a cool $25,000. Of course, there are many other options in between these prices where fans can get signed merch, handwritten lyric sheets, guitars, amps, various personal Scott Ian experiences + more.

"I’ve always loved musicians like Jello Biafra and Henry Rollins, who have the balls to do spoken word performances," says Ian. "It’s just them and the mic. There’s no band to make them look good or cover up their mistakes."

He continues, "Anthrax fans have always been loyal and supportive and that has allowed me to act like a rock star for more than 30 years. So, I wanted to reach out first to my fans to help finance this one-of-a-kind DVD that reveals more about me, my sense of humor and my bizarre career than anything you’ve ever read or seen."
