Yes, we're all anxiously awaiting Anthrax's follow-up album to 'Worship Music,' but the band has something awesome to keep us occupied in the interim. The group just officially announced the release of a concert DVD titled 'Chile on Hell,' which is due on Sept. 16. The band filmed their performance at the Teatro Caupolican in Santiago, Chile on May 10, 2013, right at the height of their touring in support of the 'Worship Music Album. By that point, Shadows Fall guitarist Jon Donais had made his way into the band and was comfortable with the set, joining Joey Belladonna, Scott Ian, Charlie Benante and Frank Bello for a fully rocking performance. As it was a special show, the group played an extended set that incorporated songs from their entire catalog, with fan-favorites such as 'I Am the Law,' 'Indians,' 'Madhouse,' 'Caught in a Mosh,' 'The Devil You Know' and 'I'm Alive' leading the way. Those interested will be able to purchase 'Chile on Hell' in both DVD and Blu-Ray formats, with the audio recorded in 5.1 Surround Sound. Guitarist Scott Ian recently told us at the Revolver Golden Gods that the disc was in the editing stage, and he added, "I've seen the edit and it looks great. It definitely captured that night." In a statement about the concert film, drummer Charlie Benanteadded, "Santiago was the perfect place to film the show for this. When we'd played there in the past, we'd finish our set, play our encore and go back to the dressing room. But every time, the fans would continue to scream and clap. I mean, they went on and on, they wouldn't stop. One time Scott and I walked out to the side of the stage just to watch what was going on in the audience. It was intense. Why wouldn't we want to film a DVD in front of an audience like that." The 'Chile on Hell' DVD cover are was designed by Stephen Thompson, who partnered with Benante to "redesign" the artwork from last year's 'Anthems' EP.
