Another New David Bowie Song Coming Soon
As the world patiently waits for 'The Next Day,' David Bowie's first album in 10 years, the reclusive legend has dropped a hint about a new song coming at the end of the month.
Bowie's Facebook page unveiled the above image, along with the title of one of the new album's songs, 'The Stars (Are Out Tonight),' plus a bit of text that reads '02.26.13.' Speculation points to Feb. 26 being the release date of the second single from the album, which is due on March 12.
'The Next Day' marks Bowie's first new music since 2003's 'Reality.' He announced the record on Jan. 8, the day of his 66th birthday, along with the album's first single, 'Where Are We Now?,' a moody tune that recalls some of his late-'70s work. The news came as a total surprise to almost everyone but the few people who worked on the record with Bowie.
The track list for the 14-song album places 'The Stars (Are Out Tonight)' as 'The Next Day''s third cut. There's no other information about the song other than it looks like it will be released sometime on Feb. 26. We're hoping it's as freaky as the artwork used to announce the track.
