Annual Feast of Sharing Dinner in Abilene is December 9th
The annual “Feast of Sharing” dinner that is put on by H-E-B staff and Abilene city officials is Tuesday, December 9th, from 4pm till 8pm at the Abilene Civic Center. This years H-E-B Feast of Sharing is celebrating ten years. H-E-B Unit-Manager David McKenzie says he anticipates feeding over 10,000 guests in only 4 hours. What’s for dinner this year?
How about glazed ham, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, dinner roll and fruit pie for desert. Organizers have also arranged for live entertainment.On Wednesday, December 10th, local dignitaries and H-E-B personnel will deliver the same meal from the Feast of Sharing to over 900 meals on wheels recipients. The meal will consist of glazed ham, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetable, a roll and desert.

Mayor Norm Archibald, Police Chief Stan Standridge, Fire Chief Ken Dozier, Abilene City Council and the Taylor County Commissioners along with several Abilene non-profit organizations will serve the dinner and assist with the clean up.
