‘American Horror Story: Asylum’ Shocker: Who’s The New Bloody Face?

American Horror Story Asylum Bloody Face Dylan McDermott
FX

For those who weren’t too scared of their impending thanksgivings to add to their fear by flipping on the latest ‘American Horror Story: Asylum,’ Wednesday’s all-new episode “The Origins of Monstrosity” delivered another surprising twist.  We’d already learned the idenity of the 1964 Bloody Face, but a few more present clues confirmed that the figures tormenting 2012 lovers Leo (Adam Levine) and Teresa (Jenna Dewan) were indeed impostors!

Or were they?  The real Bloody Face seems alive and well in the present day, but not voiced by who we’d expect, so what former ‘American Horror Story’ star seems to be on the other end of the line?

Gasp, did the opening moments of ‘American Horror Story: Asylum’s “The Origins of Monstrosity” reveal a shocking twist?  While we know the identity of the 1964 Bloody Face to be that of Dr. Oliver Thredson (Zachary Quinto), the ominous voice that dialed in taking responsibility for the 2012 murders didn’t seem to be that of Zachary Quinto.  It sounded more like…oh, we don’t know…’American Horror Story’s Dylan McDermott!

Indeed, though producers aren’t saying anything for the moment, the voice definitely belongs to McDermott, whose role in the second season of Ryan Murphy’s Emmy-winning horror thriller has been kept under wraps.  Of course, we still don’t know the new Bloody Face’s relationship to the old, but pardon us for noticing that Dylan McDermott would be about the right age for someone conceivably born in 1964…did someone say Stockholm Syndrome?

Who do you think the new Bloody Face will turn out to be?  Will he have any relationship to Oliver Thredson, or Lana Winters (Sarah Paulson)?  Keep watching ‘American Horror Story: Asylum’ for your answers, and give us your own twisted theories in the comments!
