Welcome to the Rocktober Rumble! We've picked 32 of the Best Hard Rock Radio hits of the 21st Century and are looking to determine which song will reign supreme by the end of our tournament, and your votes will help choose the winner.

In this matchup, we start off with the sludgy licks of Alice in Chains. The band made their return with new member William DuVall in the latter portion of the first decade of the 21st century and hit it big with the chart-topping "Check My Brain." Hear Duvall and Jerry Cantrell find their harmonious blend against the drone-y musical brilliance in the player below.

The other portion of this matchup also has some pretty significant and memorable guitar lines, as desert rockers Queens of the Stone Age shot up the charts and commanded the airwaves with "No One Knows." The instantly recognizable track from the Songs From the Deaf album earned the band a Grammy nomination for Best Hard Rock Performance. Hear it once again in the player provided.

There's some amazing guitar goodness in this pairing, but will it be Alice in Chains or Queens of the Stone Age that advances? You can vote once per hour through the deadline of Monday, Oct. 17 at 10AM ET. Make sure your choice advances by voting often.
