We're nearing the August 24 release of Alice in Chains' new album, Rainier Fog. Fans have already heard two new songs, "The One You Know" and "So Far Under," already and can now hear a third offering, "Never Fade," from the successor to 2013's The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here.

The song has a slight garage rock feel with an immediate hook. There's a balance to the moods of "Never Fade" with a moderate nod toward the gloom of their classic days, but it washes away with an emphatic pre-chorus and soothing refrain as the band promises an unnamed person they are not forgotten and will never fade.

"To watch Jerry CantrellSean Kinney and Mike Inez gather themselves along with the brilliant William Duvall, was to me, like watching Rocky in 1976 as a 12-year-old," Guns N' Roses bassist and Seattle native Duff McKagan said while writing the band's biography for the album's press release. "The underdog who put in all the hard work and experienced all the hard knocks and hidden trap doors life could throw at you, yet rose to fight back with elegance and power," he described of the band's mentality.

Four days prior to the release of Rainier Fog, the Seattle Mariners will host an "Alice in Chains Night" at Safeco field as they take on the Houston Astros. Packages are currently being offered that includes a ticket to the baseball game, access to a pre-game listening party of the new record and more.

Alice in Chains will hit the road in support of Rainier Fog on August 22 with dates running through September 16 and they'll pick it back up again for another 10 U.S. stops in October. Head here to see them all and to pre-order the album, visit this location.
