On the heels of last month's release of their latest album Dig Deep, Minnesota moshers After the Burial have unleashed the video for the song "Collapse." It features the band performing at night to a backdrop of mountains, trees and flames.

The album title Dig Deep refers to what the band experienced in making the album following last year's suicide of founding member Justin Lowe. “We coped as well as we could have—we still are,” says vocalist Anthony Notarmaso. “Losing someone isn’t easy, and we all dealt with it in our own way. I was angry and sad at the same time. I didn’t know how to feel, and it took time to accept that he really was gone."

Notarmaso continues, "After the dust settled, we got on the phone to see where we stood. To be honest, we thought about giving up. We asked ourselves if it was right to go on without him, or maybe if it was time to start a new band together. In the end, we felt like we couldn’t let what beat him beat us. That would’ve been even more tragic, and we felt like he wouldn’t have wanted us to stop. I know I wouldn’t have.”

“When you think you don’t have anything left in you, you have to rely on that inner strength,” adds guitarist Trent Hafdahl. “That’s where we are as a band. So many things beyond our control went wrong, but we started to dig deep as brothers.”

Dig Deep topped the Billboard Top Hard Music and Independent Album charts and landed at No. 50 on the Billboard 200 chart. After the Burial are currently on the road as part of Sumerian Records' 10 year anniversary tour alongside Born of Osiris, Veil of Maya, Erra and Bad Dreams. The trek makes a stop in Tampa, Fla. tonight (March 2). For the complete itinerary, go here.
