Will 2017 be the year that Aerosmith bids adieu to the road? Vocalist Steven Tyler has spoken on multiple occasions about the band planning a farewell tour for 2017, but guitarist Joe Perry has been more non-committal on those plans, while drummer Joey Kramer also just stated that he's unsure of the "farewell tour" prospect.

Speaking with Houston's Culture Map, the drummer was asked about Tyler's remarks about the farewell tour made on the Howard Stern Show. "As far as I know, there is no farewell tour," stated Kramer.

When pressed about why Tyler made the comments, Kramer added, "Because it was something we were talking about, and he has a habit of projecting on things that haven't been completed yet." Kramer did say that the band is planning to tour in 2017, but have not made the decision as of yet as to whether that will be their final run.

2016 has seen Tyler supporting a solo country album, Perry playing shows with the all-star covers band Hollywood Vampires, Tom Hamilton joining Thin Lizzy for shows, Brad Whitford supporting his reunion album with Derek St. Holmes and Kramer investing time in his Rockin' & Roastin' Coffee business.
