School is out and summer has begun for most of us, what we forget is that sometimes school is the only place kids get healthy meals. The Abilene ISD will get their summer feeding program underway Monday, June 4th and continue through August 10th.

The school district provides, nutritional meals for FREE to all children 18 and under. This is part of a government program provided by the USDA to fill meal gaps for children of low income families. Two meals are served each weekday at no cost to the families.
