The Abilene High Eagles will salute Dyess Air Force Base tonight (October 17) by wearing camo helmets when they face Odessa Permian at Shotwell Stadium.

Twitter page, AHS will be the first high school in the nation to wear the camo helmets.

The Eagles, who face Odessa Permian tonight (October 17th) at home, are wearing the helmets in salute of Dyess Air Force Base. In addition to the camo helmets, several special activities are planned for the game including Dyess Air Force Base color guard joining the AHS Junior ROTC to present the colors.

Kickoff is at 7:30pm at Shotwell stadium.
