85% of Abilene Say it is Not Socially Acceptable to Let Your Kid Run Around in Nothing But a Diaper in Public
With this week's Question of the Week, we asked you, is it socially acceptable to let your kid run around in nothing but a diaper in public. An overwhelming 85% of you said it is not acceptable.
While many of you agreed that if a kid is at home, then nothing but a diaper is OK, most of you believe that if the child is in public, that's just not cool. Check out the complete breakdown of votes.
Personally, I think it depends on the age of the child. If they are a new born, then I think it's cool - especially if it is hot outside. But, if your kid is able to literally run around, then I think parents should know to cover the little tyke up in public. I mean, you wouldn't let your 8 year old run around in just underwear would you? Or, you wouldn't run around in public in your drawers? (OK, that is a loaded question because depending on your beverage of choice, it could...and probably has happened at one time or another) In any case, nobody wants to see a saggy old diaper, in my opinion.
