A young Texan has become the youngest college graduate in the state after walking this past Saturday.

Carson Huey-You considers himself to be a "normal" 14 year-old boy, enjoying legos, Minecraft and reading fantasy books like the Chronicles of Narnia. But he is also gifted, recently graduating from Texas Christian University and majoring in physics. He also doesn't consider himself to be a "genius" or a "celebrity."

He told the Star-Telegram,

“It is just something I have learned to deal with because, to me, I am not a genius. I am a normal 14-year-old person doing college-level stuff.”

Back in 2013 Carson made headlines for graduating high school and starting at the university. Since then, he has now received a degree in physics and minored in Chinese and Math. Carson says that he is interested in "very small-scale things" in quantum physics:

"Quantum mechanics deals with very, very small-scale things. Even, a lot of the times, past microscopic level so you get electrons, protons, neutrons — even smaller than that going into quarks. Smartphones, computers, electronics — all of that stuff runs on quantum mechanics. If you want smaller technology that fits into smaller spaces, then that’s really where to look."

What's next for this teenage college graduate?

He plans on getting his master's degree in Quantum Mechanics then continuing on to get his doctorate. He also says he would like teach.
