Our week of Avenged Sevenfold Loud Lists continues on with these 10 unforgettable moments from guitarist Zacky Vengeance.

It’s not easy standing out when you’re a guitarist playing alongside Synyster Gates, but Zacky has managed to develop his own identity during his time in Avenged. When not harmonizing with Gates, Zacky’s lead parts tend to come out smooth and relaxed. You can hear it in songs like “Scream,” which we included in this video.

Though Shadows conjured up the name Avenged Sevenfold, it was Zacky V’s idea to abbreviate the moniker as A7X. You’ll hear the band look back on these moments while taking a tour of their old high school. As Vengeance recalls, M. Shadows was always getting into fights and The Rev would terrify everyone with his strange stalking antics, including Zacky.

Sometimes the guitarist likes to smash his axe onstage, so we threw in some great rage footage. However, we chilled everything out with a “surprise song” Zacky unfurled in Singapore. It ended up being a reggae cut almost in the vein of Sublime. You’ve got to hear it for yourselves.
